Crop Tops And High Weist Skirts, ONE DEAD TREND.

Tick tock, here goes the crop top and high waist-ed skirt trend, in a world of ever passing fads and fashion that is in current for a while it is no wonder to see all those exposed bellies slowly disappear, (and well lets be honest, not all of us were graced with Gisele Bundchen's measurements to expose our midriff), and if I do say so myself I am glad it is going away, slowly but surely.

To everyone that broke their bank account to purchase the high waist-ed skirt from high-end fashion labels such as Alexander McQueen and Burberry, we're sorry to inform you that you have literally a maximum of two weeks to wear it with trend, ( lesson here- ONLY BUY EXPENSIVE PIECES, WHEN THEY ARE CLASSIC AND YOU KNOW THEY'LL BE WEARABLE FOREVER) but don't throw them out just yet, and also the purchase of crop tops must have literally piled up to the billions, I am almost certain every girl..... and some guys (wink wink) have one or two or 68 pairs, so keep the pieces but DO NOT  wear them as a pair.
Now Here's How You Rock It.

The Proper Way- wear the cropped top but  switch it up for jean shorts, pants or a full A-line skirt, your crop top mustn't be the tight  type, let it be chunky and lose, this can be worn to look elegant, official and casual, just match with proper accessories, wear your skirt with a tucked in blouse or a t shirt, your cropped top should expose a maximum of two inches at most but the less the better.

The improper way- DO NOT wear the tightest skirt with the tightest crop top you can find, it simply not flattering on anyone, it was cool 10 minutes but lets move on. DO NOT match your tops and your bottoms, DO NOT expose your belly button, GOOD GOD please don't, save the world the eye torture.

But well no one want to throw out their hard earned money's worth of clothes, so take the pieces you have  from this trend but switch it up, and wear them differently for that is what style is, it is the difference people have in expression of fashion.

Can we all say goodbye to the crop top and high waist-ed skirt trend, it has been the trend through out runways and... well sidewalks, from the elegant Burberry spring and fall collections to the urban Rihanna for River island collection, This trend has seen the high end red carpets of NEW YORK fashion week and Emmy awards and has gone low key to the streets of the world literally.... the world.
But all good things have to come to an end, Purchase wisely.

XOXO
Elisha Nyaki.
