Cinched waist making its debut in the runways for Men fall 2015 is just like a breath of fresh air to me. Finally something bold and interesting decided to show up. Like so many other men, we know that we have always wanted to go out with something that felt like our bathroom robes down our waist, focusing mainly on our midriff, now for 2015 all the big fashion houses are delivering just that.

Here are few ways to pull off the Cinched waist by Fashionising.com
  • Using a belt, knowing it works just as perfect with chunky sweaters, blazers and boxy coat.
  •  Making use of the belt band that’s already incorporated in many pieces of outerwear.
  •  Going for a crop bomber jacket featuring an elastic band that automatically draws the eyes towards the waist, thus giving the impression of a slimmer midriff.
  • Choosing a solid jacket that features an adjustable nipped-in waist that you can easily alter.
  • Tailored suits, particularly if the tailoring is on the slouchy side and the blazer is enough over sized to call for a belt.
  •  Chic jackets, even ones with zippers and large pockets, a belt will tie all the elements together.
  •  Classic coats, worn buttoned up or unbuttoned, best when their silhouette fits rather impeccably.
They say bringing individuality in a person's style is all about making the right risks at the season, This could be yours but before you go out throwing dollars for alligator belts, here is an inspirational collection of LookBooks.

We all have those days where everyone you are trying to call out for lunch has a preplanned excuse to why they cant show up...so I made a very brave decision (Well, brave to  my standards) and went out to the busiest restaurants alone. It is a typical Sunday in Dar es salaam, the sun is bright, the chef is playing nice with customers even though deep inside he is trying not loose it and i am seated alone on a table of four, fingers crossed that no stranger comes to sit right next to me.

As i wait to get served, i take time to browse through different lookbooks for summer this year. Then Trina Turk spring/summer shows up and i am in love with the poppy colorful prints, floral chinos buried beneath casual blazers, traditional suede loafers, semi micro shorts and i am like, yes this it the original spirit of summer ...a narrative perfectly executed with a happy original ending.

The Newly crowned Miss Japan 2015 non other than a tall and beautiful black woman called Ariana Miyamoto. Well, she may look like the previous the description i just gave but miss Miyamoto is not African American or African, she is what is known as "Hafu" in Japan or in other term a biracial woman who is a also purely Japanese.

The twenty one year old who is suppose to be on the edge of celebration for her victory is currently fighting her own people who still are not comfortable with her winning the beauty pageant title despite being Japanese.

Comments like "She is not Japanese enough" or "I am not comfortable with her representing us" have been flooding on japan's social media but Ariana says that she was prepared for the criticism, she saw it coming because she has always been dealing with it in all her life but also continues to say that, it is that criticism that fuels her to fight for the acceptance that belongs to other people in her situation.

Miss Miyamoto also shares a sad story of her biracial friend who attempted suicide because he could not keep up with the endless discrimination and the endless battle for acceptance.

Question is, is Ariana's victory a positive movement towards the whole idea of bringing equality and acceptance towards Japanese Biracial or is fueling the rage and resentment the majority of Japanese who are racist to their own?

Here is a Beautiful picture of Ariana and her mother, which makes me wonder...what is BS is being Japanese enough?

It seems i have been obsessing over so may things these past few weeks, first it was Lana Del Rey who, until now, i am desperately trying to get over but it so happens that i cant, then of course, the new lady slaying the city of calabasas...Miss Caitlyn Jenner and wait, did you know that her name is not recognized by any of my computer dictionary? I mean seriously is it just me? Really?
Okay, enough of all that mellow narration of Douglas Royal obsession. I have recently discovered an amazing young blogger whose blog goes by the name Jon The Gold. Can we seriously take a moment to pronounce the name... "Jon The Gold" i mean god, i don't know about you but i am giving an A for it.

This young fashion blogger is a native from Africa, a business management student whose style is a cocktail blend of sporty, casual chic with little elements of African contemporary accents. His blog features portraits of himself that describes his personal style and what makes his blog interesting to be is that, despite his slimmer frame he still manages to slay the streets looking good.

For all the slim guys out there looking for something to inspire your style please visit Jon The Gold and get inspired but before you do, here are some pictures that got me drooling like a fool.

I am probably the last blogger on earth to be posting this but seriously, i wouldn't sleep well knowing that i haven't featured this story on my blog. So it happens in 2014, a team of handsome vikings teamed up and created a summer trend that involved having little colorful flowers planted on a guys bushy beard, i mean seriously, how awkwardly cute is that?

I really hope men don't see this trend old fashioned because however late i am to post this, i still think that it is one of the freshest looks that i will be hopping to see in men's wear summer 2015 editorials and probably next year's Coachella.

Thank you Gladys Lee for inspiring this article and Bored Panda for the amazing images, i will definitely be growing my beard soon and watering my Garden Of Bearden

The birth of Caitlyn Jenner to the word has been nothing but a huge thunder shock that we still cant shake off even though we where expecting the transition. We knew it was coming, we followed the two keeping up with the  Kardashian Episodes that where dedicated to former Bruce Jenner, tears where shed, we understood his perspective but for some reason, we didn't believe that he was going to push the transition this further, even though we are glad that he did.
Yesterday she was introduced to the world, and in the next few minutes after her birth she was instantly the most popular woman in the world. But what does this inspirational story of Caitlyn Jenner teach the nations of Africa who still believe that being Trans-gender is a sin?

Beneath the tough cover of the old Alpha male that Bruce Jenner was seen too be, underneath all that there was a little girl who felt prisoned and pushed to be everything but not herself. Today in Africa, we know these people, we hear their stories but still deny them the right to be themselves. The brutal people who have met women in male bodies or men in woman bodies would beat them, isolate them of cast them away and the nice ones who just tell them to lesbian or gay.

I think Caitlyn is lesson which proves wrong all stereotypes that surround the Trans-gender community that exist among us. They are people who are struggling to get acceptance, they are people who are struggling to be happy and feel loved just like anybody else, they are not Gay so don't force them to make compromises.

Yesterday, I sat next to a man with his little son in a Cafe, his reaction to Bruce Jenner's Transition was so nasty, he was disgusted but i looked at the little child and wondered, "What would he say if he learned that his daughter was trapped underneath his son's skin..." what would he do? what would you ?

It is about time African Parents become more open minded and less selfish.

The past few days have been more of me going to school, doing series of exams and getting my self sedated with Lana Del Rey songs every night before i went to sleep. Truth is, with all honesty, i am obsessed with this girl, everything about her songs, melodies and lyrics speak to me... i could listen to her with my eyes closed and envision myself in a total different world. Lana is my new high.

Apart from the Beautiful and timeless Lana Del Rey, i have another obsession and it is a Tanzanian Accessory Brand called Nyumbani Design. These beautiful pieces are inspired by the beautiful colors of the Swahili Coast.

Here are some of the few that I love from Nyumbani Designs and if you would like to shop for their products kindly visit Nyumbani Designs
